Next at #ag2026garching came Anna de Graaff explaining Webb's #LittleRedDots as #BlackHoleStars - as discussed first in mpg.de/25316826/black-hole-sta a year ago - or something similar.

In his #ag2026garching talk Genzel stressed that we still have no *proof* that SgrA* is a SMBH as a few alternatives haven't been excluded yet - we need to get much closer to the Schwarzschild radius still.

Lots of acronyms, one message: science with the #SKAO - the Square Kilometer Array - will begin NEXT YEAR. And you, yes, everybody, will be invited to propose observing targets for this huge radio interferometer while in its science verification phase: Stay tuned for the first call in roughly half a year. Science begins with the choice of convenient units ... here Karl Schwarzschild Medal winner Marta Volonteri uses millipc or milliparsec - which is 3.09 x 10^10 kilometers. #ag2026garching

The Ludwig Biermann award went to Caroline Gieser who's now talking about molecular clouds and protostars - so together with Volonteri's lecture about black holes after 2 hours #ag2026garching has already covered most of what there is in Universe. ;-)
