Collective action gets the goods, yet again.
It seems that the government didn't think Section 107 would hold up in court (at least not with this strike), and the Air Canada employees effectively called their bluff. This is exactly the kind of stand that needs to be taken to keep labor rights from being rolled further and further back.
(Also, I didn't realize just how tightly connected the government is with Air Canada)

Booked a fully refundable train ticket on VIA for Thursday.
There were still a few tickets left for Wednesday and Thursday. Even when things are that bad, people don't switch to train. Quite surprising honestly, i thought i would sell out right away.

Here is a “revolutionary idea”.
Let’s take a look at a bunch of male-dominated jobs where men are required to work more than 10-18 hours a day.
I am willing to bet that even on average they are better compensated, probably including overtime.
Now increase flight attendant compensation to be better than that.
