This is a great article about the preparations Alberta Elections is going through to enable the 10-question, hand counted, referendum on October 20!
Which of course includes Question 10 on whether to pursue a second referendum on separation from Canada, which will be counted first.
Each voter will be handed 10 colour coded ballots that will then each go into one of 10 colour coded boxes to make counting, and presumably securing the votes, easier.
Question 10 will be counted first and they expect those results to be available after 1AM on October 21.

It is currently 1.5ha and out of control but updates often come slowly on the web. News reports are that a few homes have been “tactically evacuated” and more evacuations may come according to Metro Vancouver government.)
