So I'm reading the changelog for the Polish railways' Passenger's Portal app (i.e. checking what they broke), and it turns out that the developers discovered compression.
I mean, the app's been updating "dictionaries" practically every single day for years (surely available stations change frequently), and they weren't even compressed! What's next? Discovering Last-Modified and refetching only if something actually changes?!

#Apple‘s way of reminding everybody to pay #Patreon creators directly on the website and to use the app only to access content.

For the past years the #Apple app store landing page has constantly been an ad for some mobile game about kings and clans that only existed to get people to pay for in-app purchases.
Now, whenever I open the app store on my phone it's always AI crap: "Learn with ChatGPT". "Do more with Gemini".

I am pleased to report that we discovered how to get the new version of the Knowledge App to work with Apple tv
I pulled the cable out of the box while it was still trying to download the app unsuccessfully. I waited a short while then plugged it back in and waited again until service was restored.
Bingo. The new app was downloaded in a few seconds and works perfectly
I should have tried that first!

I just realised that I use play lists wrong in #podbean #app - now it works great when I use them as intended 😉

I'm really liking MacDown 3000 for editing and viewing Markdown files on macOS. Especially the ability to customize the style sheets.
