#Apple Nerds out there: If I have an iPhone with a completely broken screen (no touch, no display, no face ID) that is working well otherwise, is there any way to unlock it? I know the passcode.
If I connect an external display via USB-C I only briefly see "unlock the phone to use USB accessories", but without any touch input it can't be unlocked.

Have been watching Your Friends and Neighbors on #AppleTVPlus . No masterpiece, and somehow fairly annoying, but still somehow I want to watch all of it. I often find myself fast-forwarding through boring bits, though.

I installed the new iOS/iPadOS/WatchOS 26 beta on: an iPhone 1 Pro Max. An M1 iPad Pro and an Apple Watch Series 7. All up and running just fine, with no serious issues found yet. In fact, no issues at all so far. #Apple

The Liquid glass look somehow (to me) feels inferior to me. Also, didn’t older iOS have such a glassy matte finish as its interface? I don’t know why it’s new - iOS always had it or was it macOS?
This year WWDC overall was a letdown. It is a clear example of “updates for the sake of stock price”.
They are boasting about Apple Intelligence all the while its “main” features got pushed to next year.

The new northern spy planted in March has not faired well. I had to remove it from its spot to try to rehabilitate it in a pot. Prognosis is not good.

If you're attempting to patch in Game Porting Toolkit 3 beta 1 libraries into CrossOver and following the instructions in the Evaluation environment for Windows games 3.0 beta 1 README - there is a missing step which will likely cause your Steam's steamwebhelper.exe binaries to crash repeatedly.
In addition to ditto'ing over the "external" folder that the instructions mention - you also need to ditto over the "wine" folder as well to the same lib64/apple_gptk destination
Doing both of those things, I was successful in getting it running in CrossOver Preview (20250507 / 26.0.0.39135)

Very first seconds of first impression. I actually don’t mind the look of the icons at all. They’re quite nice. I’ll reserve judgement for any future transparent versions that were demonstrated today. But these are good.
Noticed a slight tremor in the display of the home screen upon initial welcome to the new beta. But other than that, things are working well enough for me to dictate this by Siri.
