I have an Olympia P22 thermal printer, which is *perfect* for my extremely limited needs, except it requires using an app to print the labels.
Does anybody have an idea of how I could control it via PC (ideally a simple linux driver) so I can use it to print labels straight from my own (Django-based) app?

#AskFedi I just plugged in some audio stuff to a computer I got at a yard sale. the dipshit who owned it previously set it up wrong, and they had the audio header plugged into the “intel HD audio bridge” header, which I only found out AFTER it fried the motherboard. it’s an intel DX58SO, does anyone know what part specifically is broken and how to get it going again?

I know you can subscribe to a channel or account, but can you subscribe to a playlist? I know there are URLs you can share (and I did), but it would be nice to expose playlists as 'accounts' just like channels and accounts are (so that you can search @playlistname@domain.tld or whatever).

Does anyone know what the `Description` field is used for in systemd's .network files? `networkctl` doesn't seem to show it except in `cat` (which just prints the file itself), and I don't see it in the journal when I call e.g. `networkctl reload` or even `sudo systemctl restart systemd-networkd`. Kind of the same question for .netdev files too.

Linux folks, question:
I setup a common directory under `/home` (`/home/common`) with `root:common` ownership and 775 permissions. I'd like the group to be set automatically to `common` whether I write the file or someone else does, so I think using `chmod -R 2775` would achieve that. Is there a way I can similarly automatically set the ownership to `root`? Or do I manually have to do that each time I add new files/directories?

The Android app I was using for pixel arting on my phone, has gone and made exporting files a paid feature.
The thing is, I intended to pay the 20€ when I had a bit of money to spare, which isn't now, but this is a dick move I won't reward.
I'd rather use FOSS anyway, so: any recommendations? F-Droid seems a bit dry. Thanks.
