We were up on the dunes last night, and the bats came out to play. The speed with which they changed direction is breathtaking. I tried to video, and it's beyond the capabilities of my phone, in the dark, but here is a tiny clip of the wheeling flying mice! #bats #nature

Was hoping this article in the New York Times would be about bats eating mosquitoes but I was wrong. Headline and a single sentence in the article were there to make bats seem like friends (they are, but not because of how many mosquitoes they eat, which is very few).
