I’m mildly curious why YouTube’s algorithm is showing me so many ads for women’s deodorants. Is my iPad telling me I stink now? Maybe TMI but never in all my 76 years have I ever bothered to use any kind of deodorant.

Übrigens, es ist der deutsche Bundeskanzler, der über die Wichtigkeit des Schutzes Dänemarks und Grönlands vor Russland spricht. Grönland wird bekanntlich von den USA bedroht!
(Dänemark allerdings auch durch Russland, weil es den Zugang von der Ostsee zum Atlantik kontrolliert, wie auch Deutschland und Schweden.)
Aber Merz lebt in einer Parallelwelt, in der die USA noch verlässliche Partner sind. Wahrscheinlich ist ihm Trump sympathisch.

Just finished "You Made A Fool of Death with Your Beauty" by Akwaeke Emezi. I liked a ton of things about it but a few other things bothered me a bit, and I kinda feel like I need to read more of Emezi's work to figure out how I feel. There's a lot of grief and a lot of joy in this book, as well as some nice deep truths about relationships and grief, but maybe also some deep-feeling not-quite truths?
