I stopped by the vet's office today to pick up meds for the cat. This sign is down. You can see the disturbed concrete where it was mounted. This is the pole I would lock my bike to when I would stop by the vets.
I wonder if someone on their bike crashed into it and knocked it over ha ha, just kidding... I'm sure it was a car.

Good afternoon #BikeNYC #BikeTooter. Gorgeous day out there, make sure you've got your official #NYC garbage bin before the June 1st deadline!

A blue midtail cargo bike (a Yuba Kombi with a battery and custom (Bafang BBS02) motor. Attached to the rear is a 45gal black garbage bin. Behind the bike, there's the world's shittiest bike rack, and the generic stone wall and windows of a big box hardware store.

A bungee is hooked between the metal bar of the garbage bin and the bottom of the bike, and another cord goes around the outside of the bin. The bin reads "trash". The sports medicine facility I go to for PT sent me a survey. The last question was a big text box to tell them about my experience so I wrote this:
“Overall a great experience. My only complaint is the bike rack in the parking structure that is super-cheap/poor quality and not even bolted down.”

Added Power Grips (pedal straps) to my wife's #Brompton. Not going to say it's my nicest work, but I'm hopeful that it'll hold. I only drilled holes through the plastic reflectors; the metal is all intact. I can change that later if needed. #BikeTooter

The right side pedal. The red Brompton is folded up (doesn't even really look like a bike), but the right crank has a normal-looking pedal with a black strap on it. The metal hardware attachment has screws going through the orange plastic reflector of the pedal. The bike's on a white rug w/ black line pattern.
The opposite side of that same right pedal. You have a better view of the opposite side of the orange reflector, with nuts and washers attached to the bolts that go through it. The red folding bike it's attached to is just a jumble of stem, wheel, drivetrain, etc.
The left-side pedal (and behind it, the brompton logo on the red frame). The pedal is folded up so that it is parallel to the crank arm. The orange reflector is missing from the exposed side of the pedal. Of the two screws that held the reflector in, one is missing (just an empty screw hole), and the other is screwed into the end of the black Power Grip strap.
The other side of the left pedal. This time the pedal is unfolded (so it's perpendicular to the crank arm), and the plastic grey reflector mount is installed but only one side is screwed in. The orange reflector is actually missing, and underneath you can see the silver Power Grips attachment hardware. Though normally you'd have two screws holding the attachment hardware in, there's only one screw there; the grey reflector mount is on top of it, pinching it down to hold it in place. Essentially…

Oof, after 17 (very active) years, this bike fender really doesn't want to come off. #BikeNerdStuff

A rear (bicycle) drop-out, with a hand next to it. In the hand, a washer and a very rusty bolt that has a clean silver shear where it has broken in half. In the bike frame, there's a clean bolt (attached to a rack strut) and a bump next to it (with a lot of dirt) that is the other half of the broken bolt.

Most unfriendly #bikerack for ages. And even the type that bends rims.

An einer Wand unter einem nur 7 Treppenstufen (halbes Stockwerk, geschätzt 1.20m bis 1.30m) hohen Aufgang zu einer Türe angebrachte Fahrradständer von der Sorte Felgenquetscher. Bild von schräg vorne mit Teilen der Treppe. Minimal bike racks mounted on a wall under a 7 steps (half a floor, maybe 1.2m or 1.3m) high porch. Quarter front view.

The new construction on Lisbon Avenue has a separated bike lane next to the sidewalk.
So which is worse? People walking on the bike lane or people biking on the sidewalk?
