Absolutely shocking. Goes against everything I ever learned on the water when I was out fishing with my dad.
If you hear a distress call on the radio that means it is near you... you drop everything, and you help.
For this guy... a captain in the Coast Guard!!... to “wait for instructions” is beyond the pale.
Seconds are life on the ocean.
Smug dude looks like an entitled ass and a coward….
Glad he was fired.
