I saw an article about how good the food options are that are associated with churches. So I went to a Vietnamese place called O BACH across the road from Bunnings in Tuggeranong and had a pretty nice banh mi. Nice crispy bun!

We went for a walk. I saw a pelican gliding along on the lake. Wasn't fast enough to get close enough for a photo before he sailed around a corner. But took these on the way home. Just a short walk in suburbia. Canberra views really are delightful.

New Year's Eve in Canberra: too damp to go to our usual firework viewing spot, friends away interstate, daughter in Tasmania, son working. All this is promising a nice peaceful NYE, just me and the husband and the grand-dog. Unfortunately, forgot about dogs barking at fireworks throughout the night until the wee hours. Bleh.
Anyway, I'm now on my second cuppa so the year is looking up.

Excellent live comedy night at Fun Time Pony tonight. 12 local comedians doing 5 minutes each. A fun way to finish off the Canberra comedy year. Good food, some wine, and lots of laughter - it was grand.

Friend and I watched all 3 *Knives Out* movies today. We ate kransky on rolls with salad and chili jam, drank 2 bottles of wine, and also ate a coffee gelato waffle cone each. Not the healthiest of days perhaps but it was definitely a lot of fun!
