For #caturday we have a guest appearance from Trifle, whom a family member is looking after for a few days. Trifle is a grand old lady at 17 years old and has hearing and thyroid problems, but she's still gorgeous and tolerates her twice daily injections as long as a salmon treat is forthcoming. Everyone say hello to Trifle from Sussex!

My cats have very different bed habits.
Lulu has a fixed spot in my bed. If she comes to sleep with me, she lies down next to my pillow, on my left side.
Mr. Ek tends to find the thickest spot on the bed covers, so I have to dislodge him whenever I lie down. He waits for me to settle then, and lies against me, to my left.
Ruh on the other hand start her night-time routine when I lie down. She walks to the window sill, then walks around the bed, then does a few rounds next to me, before finally lying down for snuggles. Sometimes she repeats the whole process a few times, moving to different sides. However, if Lulu and Mr. Ek take the left side, she is stuck with the right side.
So while the position of the other two cats is pretty predictable, it's hard to figure out where Ruh is. When I lie down, I tend to wonder if it's bright enough outside that once my eyes adjust to the darkness I'd be able to spot her outline. After a minute or two, I realize I need to open my eyes to actually look for her.

So I've decided to make a sacrifice and eat a sausage for breakfast (one of many suddenly put to the fridge when the freezer broke). Lulu the #cat entered my lap immediately. So I'm taking a piece with a fork, putting it in my mouth, putting down the fork and taking the plate, so that the tomato wouldn't fell out of the roll… and in the meantime, the cat started licking my fork.

We're meant to dangle this in front of our #cats for them to savage but it's so cute! ALDI has some good cat and dog toys in just now.

After returning from the walkies, Ruh jumped onto the top of the cat tree and started attacking her own tail. Finally, she screamed at it loudly and ran out of the room.
Mr. Ek, who was lying on the windowsill, looked in the general direction of the cat tree with eyes saying "what a stupid #cat was there".
Lulu, who was lying on the couch, looked in the direction of Mr. Ek.
