a normanish arch door of a 14th century stone church, lower part obscured by a upright flagstone style thingy for stepping over, i can't remember what they are called. the church was restored in 1839-1841. (St Ffraid's church, Ceredigion). the leaded window above the door is in view too. i will prolly toot a snap of the window from the inside for #windowFriday

a couple of corbels carrying the arches with grim and glum looking carved faces on perpendicular church walls. the church is at least 12th or 13th century. some parts possibly older.

i don't half type some crap sometimes. well anyway, its a monkey-cat like face carved in orange sand stone. hood mould thingy from the same church as the other day. i suppose what i was trying to say is that it ain't blurry. sometimes you have to get the snap from a decent angle to get the proper facial features and because they are high up and well out of reach, you have to stand far away. this means you have to have lots of zoom on the camera, so you have to hope there is a gravestone or some…

a carved limestone Norman font. this was the most interesting side or the side that the pic came out clearest idk. well anyway, it is of some sort of mythical beast or dragon with its mouth open. extremely long tail wound round its body along with some sort of plant also intertwined, both almost Celtic knot like
