may as well spam more snaps from the church before bed.
goodnight.
#church #grave #tombScrolling

a couple of corbels carrying the arches with grim and glum looking carved faces on perpendicular church walls. the church is at least 12th or 13th century. some parts possibly older.
an ivy surrounded, leaning slate gravestone in the churchyard behind a spiders web in the foreground full of feathery thistle seeds.
a Victorian cast iron radiator with iron pipework in a dark corner of the church under a low arched alcove
a tombstone i spotted on the floor of the church. most of the inscription is mostly worn away. it bears a carving of a heart ♡ with two arrows shot through in an X shape. And a date "-3 1716" beauty and sadness.

...And there was a Norman font in the church.
Always take a torch with you to the churches.
#church #font #carving

a carved limestone Norman font. this was the most interesting side or the side that the pic came out clearest idk. well anyway, it is of some sort of mythical beast or dragon with its mouth open. extremely long tail wound round its body along with some sort of plant also intertwined, both almost Celtic knot like

#doorsday #church

a normanish arch door of a 14th century stone church, lower part obscured by a upright flagstone style thingy for stepping over, i can't remember what they are called. the church was restored in 1839-1841. (St Ffraid's church, Ceredigion). the leaded window above the door is in view too. i will prolly toot a snap of the window from the inside for #windowFriday

What stage of #fascism is “the #Gestapo is #spying inside #churches?”

Feds spying in Minneapolis church may have violated court order
Homeland Security spied on a Minneapolis church in May as part of an investigation into alleged anti-ICE activities, potentially violating a court order barring federal agents from enforcing civil immigration in churches in their network.

#windowFriday #fensterfreitag #church

from beneath a yew tree looking at the west wall to the right of the tower of a limestone rubble, medieval st.Mary's church. there is an arched window containing three stained glass arches topped with three quatrefoils. that window is slightly misshaped with age. it had quite a few cobwebs too. i done a snap of them too but it was a bit blurry. more blurry than usual. s'pose a could toot it for #shittember. maybe later....

another top pop label stop pic....
#church #carving

i don't half type some crap sometimes. well anyway, its a monkey-cat like face carved in orange sand stone. hood mould thingy from the same church as the other day. i suppose what i was trying to say is that it ain't blurry. sometimes you have to get the snap from a decent angle to get the proper facial features and because they are high up and well out of reach, you have to stand far away. this means you have to have lots of zoom on the camera, so you have to hope there is a gravestone or some…
