these two major fires happened nine days apart. Either one could have come into town with the right conditions. We are having a community meeting on Wednesday to go over what happened last year. It's going to be interesting and probably pretty emotional. Rightly so.
I honestly think a big reason why most of the Liberal Party just doesn't get it is because they are centered in urban and sub urban Ontario and don't have to worry about their homes burning down every year.
And allow me to just stop you right there before you say this is normal for our neck of the woods.
Fires? sure. Fires that threaten towns on Vancouver Island. No. Never. Not in my lifetime. Nor anyone elses.

Question for Carney supporters.
When my house burns down in a climate change- accelerated fire, will I be allowed to vote for someone other than the Liberals without the "but you'll just elect a Conservative" or "but the economy" bullshit?

P.S. And this is not a rhetorical question, we have had 3 major fires within 20km of our home in the past 3 years. We have been protected by geography, BCWildfire, and luck.
