Weird #waves in #clouds over Bochum, Germany, at noon today - not sure how high and caused by what physics. There are #GravityWaves in the atmosphere, caused by air flowing over topography but usually invisible ... hmm.

An isolated, delicate white cirrus cloud floats near the center of a deep, clear blue sky. The cloud has a distinct feather-like appearance, with fine, wispy streaks curving downwards and to the left, mimicking the barbs of a quill. Two other faint, wispy cloud formations are visible lower in the frame: a small, subtle patch on the left and a longer, trailing band stretching horizontally across the bottom right corner.
