Breakdown of the two end-pieces of a bandoneon (taken off the bellows, not shown). The reed-block is up on one piece, buttons and valves up on the other. Next to them both then have their outer shells that have the many holes for the buttons. One of the shells has a black and white photo of a smiling man tucked away inside.
