I was writing an email in Gmail to a Croatian office, in Croatian, and I was confused why the Gmail AI assistance would think I am writing in Polish. So I clicked on it and wanted to change to Croatian, but instead it started changing my text. I was very confused.
Only a few days later I realized that "Polish" didn't mean the language.

I read William Golding’s The Spire, a hardcover borrowed from the grad library’s third floor stacks. It’s a Serious Book by a Serious Author. When I read it 25 years ago, I followed the story but got many of the characters confused, missed most of the carnal and spiritual undertones, and was blind to grand metaphors woven across chapters where people and things reverse roles and act like things and people. And that’s just part of it! 1/3

Bunch of undercover SFPD just swarmed these two guys who were clearly tourists in a rental BMW. They walked away with their belongings while SFPD took their car.
I guess this is the drones in action. There was also an officer in a bullet proof vest on an eScooter screaming down the sidewalk.
