A #math #conjecture posted in a paper means two things.
1. We want to know if that statement is true or not.
2. We want to highlight that area of maths and draw human attention to it.
If you post a conjecture on the arXiv today and you have not checked if the latest AI can do it, you will have an e-mail tomorrow by some dude from the valley saying
"I'm not a mathematician but I put your conjecture into xyz and here is a counterexample, please check it".
So what do we do with this? 1/2
