I never use a software store; the cli rules for me. The Cosmic Store though adds community made applets for the desktop environment. A couple of days ago I easily added a theme to the repo. This community-contributing aspect is a bit overlooked, but it makes Cosmic stand out.

Didn't have a lot of time today to play around with Cosmic beta on Nix (cosmic-saigon).
Big improvement already:keyboard shortcuts (when you are adding or modifying) are now triggered by typing the actual key combo. For me, as a keyboard shortcuts junkie that's great!

Remember those keyboard shortcuts in Cosmic? As a also-die-hard window manager user I do like the drag and drop into various layouts in the tiled overview. Nice hints also. Never been stacking that much before, willingly or unknowingly 😆

Tested out the PopOS Cosmic beta briefly (checking the current status). Impressive result, big steps. Of course, of course, I know, a lot to do, but still!
So what did i do? I got the AerynOS iso and installed Cosmic there. Next repo sync I'll be ready for it.
