It's hilarious to me how #cycling gear companies sell you on the critical importance of cycling gloves for absorbing shock, and then you watch Paris-Roubaix — 6 hours of hard cobbles — and several of the riders are glove-less. (I mainly wear them to avoid losing skin if I crash.)

Weather was better than expected and we took the chance to do a little ride-out in the neighbourhood.
Spring is really here now. The meadows are mostly green and we don't need thick layers for cycling.

Just used the double-decker bike parking for my #swapfiets at Den Haag Hollands Spoor for the first time. Mind fucking blown. Really makes you wonder what the authorities in Berlin are thinking.

I made the effort to get out early on my bike today before the worst of the day's heat (predicted top of 45C today for Melbourne). A mob of kangaroos were also out early and turned to check me out when I stopped for a photo. #cycling #straya
