We can assume that Russia is fully engaged in supporting the AfD where it can, indirectly, via intermediaries. Maybe using their old contacts and intelligence networks in the "east". Also it will probably support muslim extremism and extreme left, also with cut-outs, all to destabilze Germany.
If you read about coldwar history, they have a lot of experience in playing various sides to destabilize countries.
