It was clear from the start that I wouldn’t arrive on time in Maastricht as I’m traveling through Germany.
But now Deutsche Bahn simply canceled the train.

Well, well, well. It’s 11 hours since the start of this trip, I’m standing in Herzogenrath, about 30 minutes from Maastricht, and no trains are running due to a hazmat incident.

Made it to Maastricht, it just took me 12:30!
Had to get a taxi in the end, it was pointless waiting any longer. Only now they’re announcing that service is about to start again Real Soon Now.
