NASA’s #Dragonfly is starting to look less like a collection of spacecraft parts and more like the rotorcraft that will fly across the surface of Titan, Saturn’s hazy moon: science.nasa.gov/blogs/dragonf - the mission reached a major milestone on June 29, when the Dragonfly team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland, delivered the nearly 13-foot-long fuselage for the next phase of spacecraft integration ahead of schedule.

a blue and black damselfly and a yellow ochre damselfly pairing on a reed.
an orange and green dragonfly on a grass ear.
idk, it looks like a ball of spiders web covered in the wings of small damselflies. it has attached to a reed and also pulled some grass ear closer and attempted to wrap that too.

Went to Whiteley Woods yesterday. There is a pond next to the new housing development where a lot of dragonflies were happy to pose for photographs.

Four more #dragonfly pictures. #photography #nature

A mated pair of Common Darters laying eggs in the water. The male is a rich red, the female more drab. They are coupled with the male's tail parts linked behind the female's head. The photo shows the ripples from their most recent dip below them, and their reflection below that.
