Once (1980s) my local Unix mail folder got trashed. I didn't know this until I started the Unix Mail client and it promptly exited with the baffling message:

I always follow my music teacher’s rule: sit in the front row. It forces me to be engaged, pay attention and not drift.
Yes, there was always a small risk of a tedious talk.
But there is now an epidemic of people telling you what they asked ChatGPT to do, and you realize that you are poorly positioned to sprint for the exit.
