The 2026 State of CSS Survey results are out:

Unsurprised color features in CSS are most hated, despite last year’s survey’s odd focus on them.
CSS carousels also fitting given they encode WCAG violations, break Separation of Concerns.

Most Hated Feature. Awarded to the feature with the highest proportion of negative opinions. Wide Gamut Colors. Even though Wide Gamut Colors are a great feature, 7.9% of respondents still had a negative impression. Runner Ups: 2. CSS Carousels: 6.6%. 3. Interpolation Color Spaces: 5.6%.

Uhhmmm.... Yes! In two of my works in progress a major character is a mathematician. In the more serious of the two, the narrator-protagonist, Dante Rory, is a professor of mathematics with a keen interest in cryptography and cryptanalysis. That's *mostly* tangential to the plot, but it's an important part of establishing his character.
