Hi #fedihelp : I recently saw a tool someone had built that animates emoji faces to match a text-to-speech output (so it looks like a little emoji person talking). It was relatively low-level, a command-line tool or so. Anyone remember what it was? #emoji #emojis

I'm looking for a new phone for a senior relative – are there any around that can do CardDAV for contacts?
(They used to use a locked-down Android phone, but I can't lock those down to the point where you can't accidentally switch to mute or away from Bluetooth headset in a call, which happened regularly.)

Ok #mastoadmin #selfhost #S3 aficionados. I don’t have any experience with object storage providers. I am looking to move my self-host mastodon account here from local storage on my 2007 #footimac to my account at leaseweb. Could you help me with the answers to their queries? I suggested, completely off the top of my head and without experience, i would need 1.5TB and low bandwidth. Not knowing if that makes any sense.

Als Merz an die Macht kam, hat er einen migrationsnotstand erklärt umnzehtsusende polizistrn am die grenze schicken zu können.
Jetzt brennt es hitzebedingt an einigen stellen in deutschland, in großen städten ist es 40 grad heiß, an manchen orten kommt 5 cm hagel runtet, stürme reißen bäume um, in sichtweite des kanzleramts entzündet sich der rohbau eines hochhauses.

Hat jemand gute Tipps, wie man eine Gravur in einem Ring wieder lesbar machen kann?
Wir haben einen Ring, wo die Gravur sehr abgenutzt ist, aber noch leicht erkennbar. Wir würden gerne die Buchstaben erkennen können, um die Herkunft aufzuklären.
Ist in Familienbesitz seit Jahrzehnten, also nicht gestern auf der Straße gefunden.
