On the subject of bootc: what are the options of running the creation of bootc images with Forgejo? I know Fedora is looking into moving there. Wonder what the status is, any pointers appreciated.

I was a bit surprised to see how far behind the Fedora packages of LibreOffice are. I ended up uninstalling them in favor of the Flatpak and am now awaiting the upgrade of that to 26.8. Since it is at least a lot closer in version number, I hope it will be soon. #Fedora #LibreOffice

Wondering why my mainline-wo-mergew #Linux #kernel vanilla #copr for #Fedora 44 x86_64 already has …

I just patched/updated my Fedora 44, and it installed kernel-7.2.4-200. If I boot that kernel with grub, I get asked for the LUKS passphrase on /home and then no more output, blank screen and seemingly hang. Hold the power button to reboot. If I select the older kernel 7.1.12-200, all is fine. Anyone else experienced this? Thinkpad P14s. #fedora

It's 2026, and I switched on SELinux on purpose.
(I did have it on on most machines, but #hetzner servers have it turned off by default)
