I've always loved this funny little yellow house, hidden in a courtyard at the University of Edinburgh's School of Geography. You can see Portobello and the sea to the left of the building. Wonderful 18th century original case and sash windows (they slide up and down using rope, a counterweight and a pulley!)

Das war letzte Woche noch mein morgendlicher Ausblick aus einem Schäferwagen - haben Glamping auf einem Bauernhof im Saarland gemacht. Relativ erholsam war's und gar nicht weit.

Blick durch ein kleines Holzfenster mit Alugriff aus einem Schäferwagen am Morgen. Panorama mit trockenen, hellgrün-strohgelben Wiesen und Wäldchen (Büsche, vorwiegend Laubbäume) links und am Horizont. Hellblauen, wolkenloser Himmel. Um das Fenster die Wand ist wie das Fenster aus hellem Fichtenholz. Das Bild ist liegend in einem Etagenbett (unten) aufgenommen.

a four pane window, peeling white painted frame. in an old stone wall. the opening in the wall is a single column of red brick either side. the wall and window is half covered in a dead and brown wall creeper plant. it is in a garage like building next to the gate St Tysiliio church, Ceredigion. i tooted some snaps of some graves and church earlier this week. i might post more. it is a circular graveyard!! ....and there is a stone.....

Hauptplatz von Slalamanca, der umrandet ist von allen vier Seiten mit einem dreistöckigem Gebäuse. Die drei Geschosse haben jeweils eine dem Innenhof zugewandte Galerie und Fenster. Oben auf dem Gebäuse stehen in regelmäßigen Abständen Statuen. Im Innenhof der Plaza ist Gastronomie und Geschäfte angesiedelt, die man im Wandelgang unter den Rundbögen durchbummeln kann.

Ungewohntes Haus, Putz und Farbe an Teilen abgeblättert. Im Hochparterre und 1. Stoch jeweils zwei Fenster, bei denen die untere Hälfte zu Öffnen nach oben geschoben werden kann. Die Fensteteile sind mit Holzrahmen nochmal in sechs Einzelgläser unterteilt. Putz des Hauses in Ocker, Erdgeschoss schwarzes Lavagestein.

Former furniture shop (ghost sign) in central Edinburgh. Such a lovely use of the oddly shaped piece of land it's on. Almost all the window panes are the original ones, handmade.

Ladengeschäft mit ca. 10 Meter Länge, Rahmen von Tür, Fenster, Leuchten- und Markisenverkleidung in kräftigen rot gehalten. Es ist eine Confiscerie, in der alle möglichen Bonbonsorten im Schaufenster ausgestellt sind. Über dem Schaufenster eine Notenzeile und ein Liedtext darunter.

Bauernhaus mit integrierten Stall und Scheune, sichtbar ist die Stirnseite, die in lindgrün gestrichen ist. Die Fenstereihen im Erdgeschoß, ersten Stock und den Giebelfenstern haben einen weißen Rahmen. Die sechs Giebelfenster haben oben Rundbögen. Das Bild ist im Winter aufgenommen, es liegt ca 10 cm Schnee auf der Wiese vor dem Bauernhaus und zwei Obstbäume recken ihre schwarzen Äste in den graublauen Himmel. Die Sonne kämpft sich mit Abendlicht schwach durch die Wolken.

The "nawagraha kindi" in #Udupi Krishna Matha is one of the more famous windows in #India.
1. Visitors see the idol of Krishna through one of 9 holes in the window.
2. Cameras can see well from a distance through one of the holes.
3. If given enough time, the eyes can get a good view, but visitors usually don't get that much time (only 3-5 secs/visitor).
