My today's #footpathFriday is one from the archives. I was really bad prepared that day, but luckily everything turned out well -- and I got this fantastic, dramatic shot!

It's #footpathfriday and it is #winter ... So I searched for a photo that would show exactly that. -- a couple of years ago I went to a nearby mountain after some fresh snowfall.
The trail usually clearly visible was sometimes barely visible directly, but the landscape just showed th…

My contribution to #footpathFriday , just fresh from the press ;-)
I went to the local hill / mountain today to escape the fog / clouds. Well and also to see whether the fog would create some nice mood to capture along the way that I'm walking rather often.

Morning hike in the Lechtal Alps (October 2024)
We seemingly had the valley all to ourselves, for the first few hours the valley floor still mostly frozen with crunchy hoarfrost until the sun was high enough in the sky. The cirque at the end of the valley already completely in deep winter. These transitions (often within just a few minutes) are so magical and unique to mountain regions...
