For #footpathfriday , here's a nice path I'd say.
This is taken from a bike&hike right after the bike-part and thus the start of a very nice autumn hike last year. When I took this photo, I didn't know - and not even expect how well the rest of the day would be 🙂
Enjoy

It's #footpathfriday and it is #winter ... So I searched for a photo that would show exactly that. -- a couple of years ago I went to a nearby mountain after some fresh snowfall.
The trail usually clearly visible was sometimes barely visible directly, but the landscape just showed th…
So glad about this particular road taken, on that particular day...
(Apologies for the intense lens flares, it was a very bright October day and almost too much for my phone... That hike was such a touching experience, I had to repeat it literally a week later...)

My contribution to #footpathFriday , just fresh from the press ;-)
I went to the local hill / mountain today to escape the fog / clouds. Well and also to see whether the fog would create some nice mood to capture along the way that I'm walking rather often.
And indeed it was a very pleasant experience to walk into the fog and breaking through it to see some blue sky.

#footpathfriday or #towpath ish
For #FootpathFriday I chose this one.
It's been a nice walk around this hill with the little church on top.
I'm missing this right now. White snow would be nice, or green grass. Yet we are currently stuck in the season in between.
But for such cases, we have photos. Photos to revive memories, to make us smile, to make us dream. Dream of the experience.

So close, yet still so far...
(Standing roughly where the Hintereisferner glacier reached to in 1850. From here it's another 20 mins to the Hochjoch Hospiz at 2413m... where I was the only soul there that day, enjoying true edge of the world vibes. Wonderful!)

My contribution to #footpathFriday !
This was a really nice walk. Just as I like it: small paths along a nice mountain.
But I also remember that it was the time I was suffering from something called "frozen shoulder". It was a bit of a challenge to take off /on the backpack. As a wrong movement cause some REAL pain.
But this is over as well and I just try to rec…

For today's #footpathFriday I chose this trail that I enjoyed this #autumn. I walked it to check whether I could bike it as well. -- Well, I met two bikers but it looks quite ... challenging. Well, not THIS part, but quite some other parts.
Do(n't) look down...

Morning hike in the Lechtal Alps (October 2024)
We seemingly had the valley all to ourselves, for the first few hours the valley floor still mostly frozen with crunchy hoarfrost until the sun was high enough in the sky. The cirque at the end of the valley already completely in deep winter. These transitions (often within just a few minutes) are so magical and unique to mountain regions...
