I am old enough to have played #Doom in my childhood, but young enough not to have played it thorough back then. Since then, I've played through the remake of the first episode on Doom 3 engine, Classic Doom, and played a bit via Doomsday.
Finally, I've started replaying them all. I've decided to go with crispy-doom, which gives makes them quite accurate, with minimal improvements. And I'm playing on gamepad, which turns out just the right choice for an old game with partial autoaim.
So far I've finished Ultimate Doom and #Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders. And I have to say that these games are much better than I remembered.
Doom is just great, though I have to say that the fourth episode (the one added in Ultimate Doom) is a bit uneven; it's still great, but it's start with a very hard first map and then seems to become progressively easier.
But Heretic is even better. And I have to say that all five episodes (two being expansions) are great.

Anyone know of good articles on solipsism in games, especially with regards to game engine design and level design? Feels so obvious someone must have written on this before but Google scholar is not coming up with a lot.

Finished the VR game #behemoth, it has some of the best sword-fighting I've seen in any VR game. Excellent stuff.
Fighting that dragon was insane, holding on for dear life to it's back as it swoops around the sky, tying myself to it so I could fire arrows at it's weak-points. Great stuff.
Would have finished it months ago but didn't really have the space to play VR stuff much while the bedroom was being done.
Really good game for getting hot and sweaty and doing exercise and fighting monsters.
Loved it.

So I've finished #XenobladeChronicles 3D, and I recommend it. Took me a while (I don't have much free time, you know), but it was worth it.
However, I have to say it's hard to finish it in satisfactory manner without helping yourself with a walkthrough/wiki. To get many of the side quests, you have to find the right NPCs, and they tend to appear at different places at different hours, and sometimes you need to "talk" to some other NPCs first.
