Most of the garden hasn't gone to plan this year. But the golden raspberries are coming in nicely. Picking them reminds me of advice a friend's grandfather gave me - you'll know it's ripe when the raspberry comes off easily. He always chastised us if we came back with juice-covered hands. #gardenthoughts

Ironically, the bean plants that did the best were the vines the squirrels planted in the corner of the yard. The beans I planted in the garden were overrun with weeds. #gardenthoughts
