I thought I've read that #hashtags can't be found via "follow hashtag" of posts that did not have the hashtag in its initial version. Therefore, editing a post for adding hashtags doesn't work.

I get stuff via some #hashtags I follow.
Sometimes, someone decides to flood one hashtag with stuff. Sometimes its relevant, most often it's not.
I try to mute them; the hashtag seems to override muting and they keep appearing.
I then tey try to BLOCK them; again, the hashtag seems to override the block, as they keep showing up.
