I have a nice second hand HDMI matrix (can switch 4 inputs around 8 outputs..) and am OVERJOYED to discover it has an old school protocol. Like you can plug in an ethernet cable and then telnet to it to control it remotely. I'm not really sure why it makes me so happy.

Je vais bientôt être dans le même genre de recherche, de ce que j’en ai compris , il faut chercher « écrans publicitaires » pour avoir des ecrans hdmi assez grand qui ne soient pas des smart tv. (Par contre pas des tv juste des ecrans) ca reste assez cher (dans les 450€-700€ pour du 50" selon les marques que j’ai vu)

PSA: In #kde Meta(Windows)-P brings up the menu to switch display configuration; so meta-P, enter switches you to external display only; Meta-P, Meta-P, enter brings you back to internal only. (enabling the HDMI on a laptop with a broken display)
Bonus advice: Label which monitor input your HDMI cable is going to so you can select it on the menu without trying all 3 of them, 6 times.

Estar sempre preparado é o meu lema. A TV da sala de aula estava sem o cabo HDMI, mas isto não foi um problema porque eu tinha um dentro da minha mochila rs.

I am currently trying to update my mediacenter/nas (to be able to reliable play 4k videos). I only want some mainboard with low power consumption and a passively cooled CPU (with integrated GPU that can play a 4k video over HDMI) that has at least 4 sata slots.
Does not exist.
It's not that much I want
(my last one was decent and cheap ASRock QC5000-ITX/PH with AMD FT3 Kabini A4-5000 Quad-Core APU and works nicely since 2014).

I've been working on an auto-scheduler for an upcoming, wildly overbooked algorave..
It tells people where to set up, which inputs to plug in, and shows a db meter for them to line check (thanks to xair mixers having an OSC api).
It will also automatically switch between audio and hdmi inputs in order to keep everything exactly to time.
