A nice shift in perceived colour between central and peripheral vision. The fixated disc looks purple while the others look blue.
The effect presumably comes from the absence of S-cones in the fovea.

Deshalb sollen für die Fahrradzone Spreeallee ab Frühjahr 2026 nun folgende Maßnahmen greifen: Neben der Einrichtung eines etwa 50 Meter langen Halteverbotes in der Kurve sind auch gestrichelte Fahrbahn-Markierungen für Dooring-Zonen neben parkenden Autos geplant. Der Bereich wird als Fahrradzone ausgeschildert – als eine der ersten in Schleswig-Holstein nach Wedel und Lübeck.
