Firmware updates for my 10-year-old Lenovo laptop are pretty rare, maybe one per year.
But for the last several months I've been getting firmware update notifications every couple of weeks, but only when I was on hotel wifi.
I thought this was suspicious and did not install the updates.

Sitting in a hotel room and I'm pretty sure our remote is syncing with someone else's TV in the hotel and vice versa. It's a nightmare.
