When did the Mac Downloads folder start syncing to iCloud with iCloud Drive turned off? I’d like to disable this. So far, the only option seems to use a different folder for downloads. (on Sequoia) #icloud

Plenty of bad and annoying things about Apple and iCloud in particular, but one good experience I've always had is if I buy something on the App Store or a subscription or anything through the Apple Store, and then ask for a refund within a few hours or days, they pretty much always refund it in full within 24 hours of the request.
It makes doing things like trying out a bit of software... realizing I don't like it or it doesn't do what I want... and ‘giving it back' much easier.
