I avoid grains in my #diet, even in Udupi #India where anyone not eating rice stands out, like a lot. So much that a friend introduced me to an influential Swamiji with "he does not eat rice; only veggies". Then the Swamiji's face said "poor thing" and I knew this's what the Swamiji will remember me as forever. 😟
