View a large rock tower behind another lower mountain peak near a pass with a small chapel (good for appreciating the scale). The mountain nearest to the pass has visible tunnel openings at its base above the talus fields. These are remnants of the frontline from world war I. Massive cumulus clouds are forming in the background, above them clear blue sky. The entire scene is bathed in warm late afternoon light of October. All the grass patches have turned into a rich coffee brown.

A long ridge line leading up to snowy peaks (~3000 meters), getting increasingly rugged and jagged at higher elevations. Beautiful dense alpine autumn forest on the slopes in the foreground with some bright yellow larches dotted here and there, emphasized by the golden morning sun. Other large mountains in the background. Mostly clear sky with some cirrus.

(Named after the hellish canyon section at the bottom of this most amazing valley, a section with tunnels and waterfalls which made the valley impassible during winter months (even still now) and the only way in & out is via a very narrow path along the rocks higher up...)

A mountain lake with deep green water in front of a steep talus slope and vertical rock face going up hundreds of meters directly behind. The lower parts near the lake are covered in dense bushes of dwarf mountain pines and some larches, all faintly reflected on the lake surface. The beautiful sunny day brings out the autumn colors with some of the larches in bright orange. Semi-overcast blue sky.
