My partner met up with a friend today and the friend asked how I was doing since my surgery.
Partner: He's doing better. He made bagels the other day.
Friend: Oh good, so he can make lunch on his own?
Partner: No, he didn't... toast a bagel for lunch. He *made* a dozen bagels. Like, made the dough, then boiled and baked them. With three different toppings.
