On a positive note. It is nice to see a diversity of women continuing to be a strong part of the Liberal Party caucus of MPs.
All three MPs elected in the by-elections on Monday were women, two POC including Doly Begum who was previously an Ontario NDP MPP and deputy leader of that party.

Good to see the NDP in second with 18.9% of the vote in one of the by-elections last night.
The polarization between the Bloc and Liberals in Terrebonne is pretty stunning but at least there was a clear winner this time! The CPC got just 3% and the other three barely added up to 1% there!
The Toronto ridings were at least a little more spread out, but both remain solid Liberal seats with more than 60% of the vote.
I don’t like how the Liberals gained their majority, a first in Canadian history… but that’s the hand we are dealt. Time to work at it.

Since @… and @… are the first Canadian federal and provincial party leaders respectively to be on the #Fediverse, I wonder if they will have an outsized influence on this place until other parties inevitably join. 🤔

We really need to get the NDP and especially the media out of this notion that the NDP can only ever prop up the Liberals or… in a perfect world… be opposition.
No. The NDP can, and should, form government to give Canadians a real progressive alternative to the Conservatives and Con-Light-Liberals.
