"I am a cat barrista" ist eine Sammlung von Kurzgeschichten über die Kunden eines besonderen Katzencafés - und dessen Betreiber, ein riesiger Kater. Die Kunden kommen mit Sorgen, die ihnen der magische Kater durch Getränke und speisen vertreiber oder zumindest lindern kann.
Eine angenehme Lektüre für Zwischendurch, eher etwas zum Entspannen.

Nun ist der #Manga "Lust auf ein Date?" mit Band 14 abgeschlossen. Es war eine spannend und doch angenehm zu lesende, etwas anders verlaufende Geschichte über Liebe zwischen Studentinnen. Die Schwierigkeiten des Zusammenlebens, Gefühlsleben und Homophobie stehen im Vordergrund, aber auch Sexszenen kommen mit nur wenig Zurückhaltung vor. Alles in einem knuffigen Stil gehalten.

That’s a wrap. After that I raided my usual manga shop (which is conveniently situated at the bottom of the building I live in, check my privilege) for everything they had from Tomoko Yamashita. I’m not sure it will be enough.

Die "Panorama-Insel" von Suehiro Maruo, nach einem Roman von Edogawa Ranpo ist eine ungewöhnliche #Manga-Lektüre. Nicht nur wegen der wohl recht nahem Umsetzung eines Romans aus den 1920ern, deren Geist die Geschichte atmet, und des etwas europäisch bzw. wie bei Jiro Taniguchi anmutenden Stils.
