Brick fans, is the spiral pattern here evidence that several different types of clay were rolled together prior to shaping? I'm not positive of age but nearby residence was built in 1834. Rosedown Plantation, St. Francisville, Louisiana. #bricks #clay #paving #masonry #beneficiation #louisiana #plantation

a grotesque medieval corbel. looks like a crouched monk or something with an oversized head, maybe tongue sticking out. below the corbel there is a medieval wall painting of a crowned lady. more like a ghost painting now.
