Wellen branden auf einen mit schwarzen Felsen durchsetzten Sandstrand. Wass türkis, die Wellen brechen in weißer Gischt und sind ca einen halben Meter hoch. Der Sandstrand ist helles ocker, darüber strahlend blauer Himmel ohne Wolken am Mittag.

a big smoothed rock on a rocky sea shore. there is a bit of sea in the distance on the right. the rock has some discolouration that looks like an eye, vertical line of quartz in the middle of its face. looks like some sort of stone plushy. shell fragment shale or whatever in the foreground. it was in one of the heat waves last month, you know, clear skies strong shadows. and there are barnacles and green stuff on the rocks in the background, well its one giant smoothed outcrop.

Kleine Felsgruppe im Meer im Restlicht einer untergehenden Sonne, die noch einen Hauch roa an den Himmel zaubert. Ein Wolkenband unterbricht die rosa Färbung. Die schwarze Felsgruppe in der Bildmitte wird von Wellen umspült, auf der rechten Seite türmt sich eine hohe Welle auf,deren Gischt im Gegenlicht spritzt.

if you look carefully, you can just see the last tiny bit of the sun as it dips behind the sea, just to the left of the stick in the center.

the very last tiny bit of the sun setting in the sea just to the left of a stick in the foreground, sticking up vertically out of a bed of deep green gorse. the sky and sea is a lilac silver colour with a thin purple horizon.

on the left is a small old and rugged gravestone, with large patches of white lichen. the gravestone is next to the graveyard dry stone boundary wall, also with patches of white lichen, the graveyard is on top of a steep and high hill, with a beautiful view overlooking the sea. i can just make out a few ox-eye daisies this side of the wall. and the tops of gorse, over the wall, then beyond that, wide open sea.
