The number of default-named #Meshtastic nodes in #Montreal is surprisingly high.
Like lots of `Meshtastic 40af`/`40af` nodes.
Is it like this everywhere? Why don't people configure their nodes? Am I just failing to read the configured name properly? So many questions…
Edit: adding screen…

Screen shot showing default-named nodes. Hope it’s not exposing too much to show this, but they’re literally broadcasting this so I don’t feel too bad.

I mean, I'm glad Montréal is finally installing bollards in this bike lane but
... not like that?

Here's hoping they lose as badly as the PQ the last two times, and that #Montreal actually manages to elect representation that doesn't get washed out by a gross majority, so the province doesn't have to posture hating Montreal so much.
Don't let la porte frappe you on the way out after gutting so many of the services we paid for.
Also FPtP is a bad voting system. I said it…

You can do it, little thyme plant.
I’m not ready for actual snow season to start in #montreal quite yet.

The late autumn remains of my outdoor thyme bush, clearly marked “winter thyme” but also surrounded by this morning’s snowfall and some stray fallen tree leaves.

Looks like some people at HEC #Montreal have put together a dashboard with data (primarily demand/production) from our electricity utility, Hydro #Quebec.
Pretty interesting; especially given the excess demand this past week.

In 2013, when #Montreal was deep into its corruption self-investigation, we almost ran out of asphalt.
We'd made a new rule that anyone named during the Charbonneau commission's corruption inquiry was disqualified from being a vendor/supplier for the city.
The hitch was that all of the asphalt suppliers were named. Yes, *all* of them.
So we had to decide “run out of pothole-p…
