Thinking about my relationship with #music. In school, we learnt about 20th century classical composers. I remember my classmates saying they didn't like the dissonance/weirdness. I decided I wasn't going to be like that, I'd seek out dissonance/weirdness.
But that means I often don't use music for comfort

the local music venue and gathering spot (ex church) is packed tonight to listen to some homegrown talent who was recently rewarded with a dream gig taking a spot in BTO beside fellow Vancouver Islander Randy Bachman.
He just finished his first tour of North America with the band.
Lance was in my grad class in 1995. Played bass in band. He has his own music releases as well which apparebtly have now found new life too.
He's good people. So happy for him. Wish I could be in there rockin' with him. 🎸 🤘

Just noticed one of my favorite pieces of software ever had a big update after more than 5 years: the #Rockbox media player software! #iPod color, of course, but later on an old #Android phone, a #FiiO M3K and today on a #Surfans F20! Honestly it just can't be beat, software wise, for a media player. 🧵1/2

When I need an energy boost this performance usually does the trick.
I love the way this video gets better and better as it goes along. I love seeing the interplay between Handsome Dick Manitoba and Ross the Boss near the end. Just pure rock and roll energy from an iconic time, location, and band.
