Hola mi nombre es Karol Fuentealba. Soy mamš de Jeremías, 18 años, Emiliano, 17, y Mía de 4 añitos. Vivo en Queens, New York, junto an mis hijos. Hace algunos años tomé una de las decisiones mšs difíciles de mi vida: dejar mi país Chile 🇨🇱 para buscar un futuro mšs seguro para mis hijos. Durante años estuve expuesta al maltrato físico y psicológico de parte del padre de mis hijos. Empezar de nuevo en un país diferente no ha sido fšcil. Hemos tenido que enfrentar muchos desafíos, momentos de incertidumbre y sacrificios.pero cada día sigo luchando con Esperanza, por qué lo único anhelo es poder darle a mis hijos una vida digna segura y llena de oportunidades. Hoy estoy tratando de reunir el dinero necesario para poder obtener nuestros permisos de trabajo y mis documentos. Para muchas personas puede parecer algo simple, pero para mí significa todo: significa poder trabajar legalmente, poder ahorrar para vivir con tranquilidad fuera del refugio que actualmente nos encontramos hace 8 meses y asegurar la estabilidad y el futuro de mis hijos. He logrado ahorrar una parte con mucho esfuerzo pero me falta completar el monto necesario antes de la fecha límite. Actualmente tengo 10 días para reunir ese monto que son 2,240 por los 4 y tengo reunido 700. Por eso con mucha humildad y con el corazón abierto quiero pedir ayuda. Cualquier apoyo, por pequeño que sea puede marcar una gran diferencia para nosotros. Incluso compartir este mensaje ya es una manera de ayudarnos. We’ve had to face many challenges, moments of uncertainty, and sacrifices but every day I keep fighting with hope, because the only thing I long for is to be able to give my children a dignified, safe life full of opportunities.
Today I am trying to raise the money needed to obtain our work permits and my documents. For many people this might seem like something simple, but for me it means everything: it means being able to work legally, to save up to live in peace outside of the shelter where we have been for the past 8 months, and to secure the stability and future of my children. I have managed to save a part of it with great effort, but I still need to complete the amount before the deadline to resubmit. I currently have 10 days to raise that amount, which is $2,240, and I have saved up $700. That is why, with great humility and an open heart, I want to ask for help.
