Maybe the war between Russia and Europe, will not be as kinetic and intense as past wars. But it seems we are slowly gliding into something that could be given that name. Russia also has an interest to make it not an "all-out" conflict because by keeping it at a lower intensity, art. 4 and art. 5 of the NATO treaty stay out of sight. A lot of NATO-countries will oppose calling for a art.5 procedure when "just" a few targets in Europe are hit.

With instability in Germany, France, Spain and other european countries i am quite sure Putin will not compromise and fight on in Ukraine, further provoke NATO and the EU. He will maybe even succeed in destroying the NATO alliance because it's very weak in it's reactions on continuing russian provocations. More war is coming i am afraid.

We are watching the structural destruction of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine by continuing attacks with drones and ballistic missiles that Ukraine can't stop (until now). EU and NATO have no plan to solve this, no additional actions are available it seems. Putin is winning?
