A Dickcissel (who decided that was a good name for a bird?) and a Blue Grosbeak.

Photo of a bird perched at the top of a tree. This is a Dickcissel, (Spiza americana), a small seed-eating migratory bird in the family Cardinalidae. It breeds on the prairie grasslands of the Midwestern United States and winters in Central America, northern Colombia, and northern Venezuela. It has a yellow breast and belly, and a distinctive black blotch on its throat. The sky is bright blue behind it. June 2026.

A mountain lake with deep green water in front of a steep talus slope and vertical rock face going up hundreds of meters directly behind. The lower parts near the lake are covered in dense bushes of dwarf mountain pines and some larches, all faintly reflected on the lake surface.
