I am looking for a way to have a public flake that is reusable as inputs in other flakes, but some parts of the flake are private. I think this is a very common thing, people sharing their config, but don’t want to share their secrets of course or some network settings. With Aurorix up and running (OCI container with KDE) it's time to start Asterix up also. That's my 'immutable', auto-updating Nix. Although less 'confined' than Aurorix it should be basically the same for the enduser. Looking forward to the comparison.

One install, one git clone, two file copies and one rebuild and that whole system, with all my applications. tweaks and settings, was rebuilt in exactly 31 minutes. The power of reproducibilty.

According to #FreePG right now: #ArchLinux, #Debian, #Fedora, #NixOS and #Ubuntu. Now #Gentoo joins that list, except that instead of silently making intrusive patching on top of GnuPG, we provide it as a separate package (app-crypt/freepg), and mark appropriately:
